Taking a nap after a long day at the vet

Taking a nap after a long day at the vet.

A few days ago, I got locked in my kennel. And then Mom took my two brothers out someplace – WITHOUT ME!! She left the radio on some slow songs but I just whined right over them. It seemed like forever, but my brothers finally came back.
I didn’t know where they went, but they smelled funny and were a little sore. They said I’d get my turn soon.
Uh oh.

So then Mom came and put my fancy collar on me (it has spikes to make me look tough, hee!) and took me out the front door.

Uh oh…again.

I forgot how much I hate the car. So I ran forward and hide underneath it. Mommy didn’t like that too much cause she pulled me out and hefted me into the car.

Now I will say that as far as cars go, ours is pretty nice. It’s has an all rubber floor so I don’t slide ’round and there’s lots of room!! Plus since Mom knows how I drool during rides so she brings me lots of towels and a bed to lay on and she always packs a toy and treats.

Then when we got to this place she called the Vet- oh jeez! Last time I saw one of these dudes he stuck me with pins!! I decided I should be tough though since I was wearing my tough-guy collar. Mom got me out of the back and sat me down in the grass. My legs were all woobly from the ride. She let me sniff and wander.

Wow… lots of dogs must have to come to the Vet. I can smell all sorts of doggies here!!

Finally I was settled down and able to stand up okay. So Mom and me walked into the building. I decided I’d better announce my arrival: “Ahhh-Woooooo!” The woo is in the house!

Hmmm… maybe all the dogs don’t do that? ‘Cause everyone busted up laughing. So I woo’ed them some more…
And I woo’ed the people in the white coats; I even woo’ed the Vet himself. While I was wooing though, he stuck me with more pins! Darn it, I should’ve been paying attention!

But the pins were nothing. Soon that mean man got this device out and brought it towards my nails. Nuh-uh. No way, no how. I’ve had enough of this. So I climbed up on Mom’s head and clung there until they gave up.

All in all, the Vet wasn’t too bad. And especially since Mom took me to the dog store for treats and shopping after! I was a bit sore that day and didn’t feel like playing much with my brothers when we got home. But I still found some energy to Woo.

I don’t knows how to woo. Do you think if I learn, it will help keep the vet away? The Molly is at the vet right now. They won’t let her come home until tomorrow. I’m going to give her some of my boney chewy treats when she comes home to make her feel better.

Ty, the woos certainly helped them know i was serious… but ya know what? They never stopped poking me?!! Until I climbed on mommy’s head. She has da claw marks on her face. WOOO!

Tell Molly I’m thinking good pup thoughts for her. I hope she’s feeling better soon. Give her lots of treats, licks, and share those babies. Maybe she can ride your Roomba to get around?

The Molly is too big to sit on a roomba friend. But sometimes treats ride on the roomba friends and the Molly and I eats them!

You know, if you talk lots of walk on pavement, the need to have your nails trimmed with that horrible device is cut down a LOT.. Cappy (http://powernubby.com) is 2 years old and has yet to need a nail trimming..

Just dont walk on the HOT pavement.. that can hurt your little paw pads!
